形態特徵

Evergreen shrubs or small trees, to 7 m tall; branchlets pubescent.
Leaves coriaceous, long elliptic to lanceolate, 4–6.3 cm long, 1.3–2.2 cm wide, apex caudate-acuminate, base acute, mostly entire, rarely serrate, lateral and reticulate veins indistinct; petioles pubescent, 0.6–0.7 cm long. Inflorescences fascicles, axillary, sessile; bracts broadly ovate-triangular, apex acute.
Flowers white; calyx campanulate, 4-lobed, lobes triangular, unequal, apex acute or obtuse; corolla broadly campanulate, 2–2.3 mm long; pedicels pubescent, about 3.5 mm long.
Fruit ellipsoid, 1.6 cm long, 0.6 cm across; pedicels pubescent, 3.5–6.0 mm long.

分布

台灣 : in the mountains at 700 to 2,000 m.
